To, My Sweetheart

Today, 10 years ago it was snowing. You met me, along

with my parents at our "soon to be" 1st apartment & home.

I had just come back from my 5:30 a.m. hair appointment for

the big day. You were so happy because you had

hit every green light, which never happens on the way there. :)

We talked with so much excitement about the events

of the day & of course the fact that we would finally be married!

Dad gave me one last blessing and then the four of us knelt in

prayer, that the day would go well for everyone, especially us.

And then, we were off to the Mt. Timpanogos Temple.

We arrived early & just when snowflakes were beginning to fall.

We had a little bit of time while we waited for family & friends to arrive,

so the temple workers invited us to come and sit in the Celestial Room

and wait on a beautiful white couch. We were the only ones in the room,

yet, I felt like we were surrounded by family & loved ones.

We soon moved to the sealing room and tears came to both of our

eyes as we saw all of our family and friends who had gathered for this special day

-just for us, well, and each of them too, for they were the ones who each

helped us get to where we were at 10 years ago today.

I am sure we don't remember much of what was said. Of course,

how could we remember when we were so focused on being in love.

I do remember saying
"Yes"

Yes to always being by your side.

Yes for supporting you as you support me.

Yes to helping you & building you up.

Yes to raising a family with you.

Yes to strengthening you when times would be hard.

Yes to laughing with you & loving you daily.

Yes to being a parent with you and raising

Heavenly Father's children.

Yes to always loving you, and most importantly

Yes to being with you forever.

Our wedding day was beautiful & perfect for what took place.

But, we still had the mishaps. For example, your nose bleeding

from the cold blizzard that had come while we were taking

pictures with everyone. At the time, we quickly found Kleenex,

fixed your nose, and moved along with our blissful day.

I have seen over the last 10 years, how the time with you has been beautiful

& perfect. And yet, we have still had the bloody noses so to say.

We have still had to pause in life & "fix" what needs our attention

in order to move on to the beautiful journey we are on together. We have

learned from these so called "fixes" and have grown even stronger

as a couple & continue to blend ourselves as one.

How much I love you.

Words cannot say.

Money cannot buy.

Time cannot tell.

But, the future is bright,

and I am yours forever.
