I am not a visionary person- I have my own thoughts & glimpses of how things should look, etc. but, I can seldom catch the visions of other people- including Brian. Brian has had this beautiful idea/picture of how the kitchen will look & I have had a hard time catching the vision--- thus, my need for faith.
Through the process, faith hasn't been too hard, especially after he installed the upper cabinets & I FINALLY started to see the vision he had seen all along... that is until last night when the demolition truly started. My sister & I watched him take a mallet & with strength & a little excitement he started to knock the pantry out. We each jumped with each blow to the shelves. Then, Brian was sweet to let me share in his fun (if you call it that) by taking the mallet and having my own whack at the shelf. I think my whack was too soft because the shelf didn't budge. :) He showed me how to properly do it, and I was able to get a little crack in the shelf. I definatly need to work on muscle strength in my arms.
Last night he took the pantry apart, and today the demolition of the rest of the kitchen began. He turned off the water to finish the plumbing & when I went to rinse off Landon's dishes from lunch, I forgot I didn't have water, and then realized it didn't matter because I don't even have a kitchen sink. Looks like it will be Little Ceasars & paper plates for the next 3 nights. :)
So, these are pictures of our kitchen before & during the demolition. I CAN'T wait to put the pictures on here once everything is complete!!! Let's just say, there is a really intelligent brain inside my man's cute head. :)
