Our Little Hallie Belle...

I did Hallie's 6 month pictures the other day, and they turned out adorable. Here are some of my favorites! I love the color in this picture. Her smiling eyes as Brian calls them, her red lips, and the pink flower. Don't you just want to pick her up and kiss those sweet cheeks.
Here's the picture with personality. Hallie is such a little tease. I love her big smile.
The whole reason I wanted to take these pictures was so I could capture her playing with her toes. I think 6 months is my favorite age because they can sit up, they start to eat solids, and they play with their toes, and try to get as much of their foot as possible in their mouths.
I LOVE this picture! I love her big smile and her happy eyes. She is such a fun and calm baby. We are so thankful she is a part of our family.

Swiss Chocolate... YUMMY!!!!!!

We got a fun surprise on our doorstep today. Josh & Janelle (Brian's sister) just came back home from Switzerland, and brought all of this chocolate for us. They were going south early this morning, and left it on our front porch.
Brian LOVES chocolate... I think he's a chocoaholic! Back in December when Josh & Janelle were visiting Brian let them borrow his jeep so they wouldn't have to rent a car, so they were so sweet and paid him back this way... with a huge box of chocolates. I'm not a big fan of chocolate, but after tasting pure swiss chocolate, I can't help myself. So, while Brian is at work today, I'm going to gather up all the chocolate, go and relax on my bed, watch a movie, and eat chocolate ALL DAY LONG! Because really that's all I ever do as a stay at home mom. :) Brian said that kids could have 2 pieces today. He probably should have given me a limit too... he might come home to nothing! :) The nice thing though, is since I can't read french or German, I can't tell how many calories are in each piece, so I may as well eat as many as I can while I don't know... right? :)
This was my favorite one they got for us. Isn't it nice! What a fun idea!
It looks like a picture frame with individual chocolate pictures. The swiss are so creative! Instead we get a nice brown hershey wrapper around our waxy chocolate. :)
There's the pot of gold! My mouth waters just looking at it. Can you tell we're just a little bit exicited. I wish there was a way you could all lick the screen and get a taste for yourself, but don't worry... it's really not that good... it's DIVINE! :)

My Girls...

Hallie is 6 months today!!!! She is starting to sit up and eat solid foods. She is such a little sweetheart! Brian is wanting her to keep her brown hair so he can have at least one little brunette like him. :) We'll see what happens. The kids just love Hallie. Sometimes a little too much! She does pretty well, but sometimes she gets kind of annoyed and starts to talk or babble loud, almost like she is saying "Give me space!" We love her so much!
What on earth would I do with out this little girl. The other day we had babysitters come over while Brian and I went out, and when I came home Morgan was wearing this. I asked her why she had Jackson's clothes on, and she explained that she was cold and couldn't find her pink ones like this, so she decided to wear jackson's because his were warm. What a funny girl! Why is it that girls can wear boy clothes, and still look adorable, but if little boys wear girl clothes, there's something wrong with the picture??? :)

Family Reunion

This past weekend we had a family reunion with my mom's side of the family. We went to a church owned camp and slept in cabins or yurts as they call them. We had such a fun time! The kids loved the campfire, and being able to ride on the paddle boats. I love the picture of all of us because my kids look like there going to sleep, when really it was just the sun, and Hallie looks like she's going to take off at any moment. Brian really liked climbing the ropes along with the rest of the family. Thankfully I had Hallie as a good excuse and needed to stay on the ground. :) And, once again, I love my handsome boys in the top left picture... aren't they cute! Thanks everyone for such a fun time!

We were a slipin and a slidin...

Last Thursday night, we went with all of my family and some good friends.. the Heatons & the Cooks to do our slipin and slidin. We had a BLAST!!!! It was so much fun! The kids loved it other than getting a little cold. My sister was in town with her family & we thought it would be a fun family activity before our family reunion. My other sister Brittany is 6 weeks away from having her 1st baby, so she played with the kids while we all slid down the hill. I love my family so much! We were all trying to think of creative ways we could sit as we went down the hill. Brian & I loved doing a train with everyone linked on... it almost felt like a rollercoaster when it pulls you down. It was awesome because there were no heights, but the same feel. ;) At one point we noticed a little kid in his swimming suit that didn't belong with anyone in our group. I asked Brian if he knew who he was and he told me that the kids babysitter had sent him over. What a nice babysitter... :) We have decided to make this a family tradition every summer. Thanks everyone... I love you all!

Jackson's Broken Leg

Last Tuesday night, 2 days before we went to Fish Lake, Jackson and Morgan were playing downstairs and Jackson fell down the last 2 steps and broke his leg. We were pretty sure it was broken because usually when Jackson gets hurt, he just gets up and walks it off. This time he wouldn't move it though. The doctor couldn't see us until Friday morning but we were going to be gone, but thanks to Nurse Grandma Karen, we were able to get to the doctor Thursday morning before we left. Ironically, we went to Dr. Jackson, and the assistant that put the cast on Jackson was named Brian. Jackson wanted a blue cast, which didn't surprise us, and will get to wear it for 6 weeks!!! How exciting huh! He broke it in 2 places (the tibia, and phibula... I am not a doctor, so if I've spelled or pronounce these wrong...ooops) jHe has a nice spiral fracture on the front bone tibia I think, that crossed over to the back bone (phibula... I may have got them mixed...oops again) He is actually doing really well with the cast though, and is able to get around well too.
He is such a cute little kid, and when I told him we would take it off , he said he didn't want to take it off. I think he can feel that it's protecting his leg, and he isn't in pain any more. Poor little guy. I told him we would take it off after Grandma Smith's birthday which is in September. He said "no, after Grandma Karen's birthday" (which isn't until February) I told him we weren't going to leave it on for that long. I want him walking as soon as he can. :) What a sweet little kid... and the blue fits perfectly!

Fish Lake

This past weekend we went with all of the Nuttall Family to Fish Lake. It's something Brian has done since he was a kid, and has loved it ever since. We all had so much fun! On the first morning, Morgan went with Brian at 6:00 a.m. to catch some fish... she caught 3! And, they were with her little Dora fishing pole... I on the other hand didn't catch any... other than the little perch fish, that was easy enough for Jackson and Jayden to catch... maybe next year. :) We had so much fun though. The kids loved being with their cousins, and Morgan even got to go to the Lodge with Grandpa for some treats and popsicles. It was so nice having the weekend to spend with family. Thanks Boyd and Karen for a great weekend!!!
While Brian & Jeff were out fishing one day, Brittany and I had a friendly competition of who could color the prettiest picture, and then we had Josh vote. Somehow, Brittany won, which I don't know why... mine was obviously better than hers... just look how bright my colors are... I think she gave Josh some money so he would pick hers. Ha ha ha. That night they presented awards to us. Brittany got a DVD for her first place picture, and a camera for her 2nd place picture, and I got a bag of cheetos. Boyd even participated and colored 2 cats. :) We had so much fun! The last night we all went to dinner where Brian got his steak dinner he has been craving since last year, and then we all chipped in for the big party boat. We had so much fun wit all of us on there. It was so relaxing, with great food & family, and we can't wait until next year!
