Tagged Again

Well, I have been tagged again. I figured it was a little different than last time, so I decided to go ahead with it. Plus, I always like learning more about all of my friends, so hopefully it's the same. :) So here we go....
I was 15 and living in Arlington,Texas & a Sophmore at Martin High School. I have to say that was one of my favorite times of my life. I LOVED Texas, and I have so many fun memories there.

5 things on my to do list today
1. take the kids to my friends house
2. dr. appointment for the baby
3. have the baby ( okay I actually don't want to have her today, because I still have things I need to do and get ready, plus my mom isn't here right now, & I want to have a Feb. baby, but I am anxious to have her. So for today I need to wash all of Morgan's old baby clothes and get them all organized.
4. Make dinner & watch American Idol... Brian and I always say we're not going to watch it, and then we just get sucked into it like the rest of America.
5. Clean & organize my house
6. finish putting all of our video camera movies onto the computer so I can burn them onto DVDs
7. call --- oh wait, I'm only supposed to do 5 things... I have a lot to do today. ;)

Snacks I enjoy:
1. candy, candy, candy
2. Texas Cavier (?) with chips yummy!
3. Brownies
4. brown sugar poptarts
5. 7 layer taco dip

5 places I've lived
1. Heber Utah
2. Spanish Fork, Utah
3. Iona, Idaho
4. Arlington, Texas
5. Lincoln, Nebraska

5 jobs I've had
1. Babysitter
2. Sonic skater waiter, although I never skatered ;) ha ha ha that would have been a funny site.
3. Target Cashier
4. Kiddie Kandids photographer
5. Mom (definatly most rewarding & and hardest & of course the most fun)

5 things people don't know about me
1. I like to be in charge if I think I know what I'm doing, which tends to come across as a little bossy sometimes. (Acutally I think most people know this. )
2. I like Brian to tell me that he loves me at least 5 times a day. I know that he loves me, but growing up with 7 kids & mom & dad, I would hear "I love you" at least 10 times a day if not more, so I think that's why. Plus it's fun to hear & say.
3. I love Olive Garden! It's my favorite place to eat & my mouth waters when I see the commercials.
4. I love giving people gifts, especially ones from the heart, but I hate getting credit for them. I would rather do something really nice, and then leave it on the their doorstep & run, or have someone else give it to them for me. I usually do this with cookies or bread for our neighbors. I'll make them, and then I'll have Brian & one of the kids go and deliver them. Weird... I know
5. I am really competitive, and Brian isn't at all. He jokes with me that if I loose we have to keep playing until I win. I don't think I'm that bad, but I can be pretty competive when I want to be, especially with my family. Brian's helped me calm down a little, and I've helped him be more competive since he isn't at all. :)

Well, there ya go.. A little more about me. The rules say you are to tag 3 people, so I tag Lisa, Lindsey, & Melissa... good ol' Texans. :)

Farewell President Hinckley

Last night my sister called and told me that Pres. Hinckley had passed away. It kind of hit heavy, but not surprising. We had friends over for dessert & I felt bad having to go and tell them. It's one of those things that is bitter-sweet. Bitter because he will be extremely missed, but sweet because he can now be with his wife & family. I was 13 when Pres. Benson died, and Pres. Hunter was only in for a short time. Pres. Hinckley has been the Prophet since I was 13-all through my teenage years, college years, early married life, and the Prophet when Morgan & Jackson were born. I have learned so much from him & his example & sense of humor. I am so grateful to have a prophet on the earth to lead and guide us. I am amazed at all that Pres. Hinckley has accomplished in these last 13 years, and all of the different things that have been started. I truly admire him and love him and I will always have a special place for him in my heart.

Happy Anniversary!!!

Happy Anniversary! Today Brian & I celebrate 6 years of being married. It's crazy to think that 6 years have gone by. So much has happened in 6 years. It seems like forever ago that we were married, but at the same time it doesn't feel like we've been married that long, especially when I hear couples in our ward talk about their 15th or 23rd anniversaries. But anyway, I am so grateful for Brian & for our friendship & relationship. He has treated me like a queen from day one, and I couldn't be happier with him and our little family. We've had some hard times, but with all of the good times and good things we've been able to do, it makes the hard times seem like little bumps that are outweighed by the good. I saw an article in the newspaper the other day about 2 couples that were celebrating their 70th wedding anniversaries, & they were all in pretty good health... isn't that amazing! I told Brian about this, and how I expected us to be the same and celebrate 70 years together, and both still be alive! I wish, but I know that we'll be together forever, and for that I am grateful.

Scrapbook Layouts

I absolutly LOVE this digital scrapbooking! My only problem though, is now I have less motivation to do regular scrapbooking, yet I have all the supplies, at least somethings getting done though. :)
For Brian's birthday, I am doing a movie of our family through the year 2007. Each of these layouts will be the beginning of a section. I am so excited to get it all done, but I have to get it finished by next Sat. and I need to take me computer in tomorrow to get it fixed...it's moving turtle slow, so anyway, this is my big project before the baby comes, so if I can get this done, then I can relax and prepare for the baby. Actually instead of relaxing, I think I will be cleaning, organizing, & sleeping if possible. :)

Difference in Personalities

The other night Brian and I were talking, and Morgan and Jacksons started fighting over an Elmo doll. Well one of us took the Elmo doll, and asked if we should break it in half so they could both have a little bit of Elmo. Brian asked Morgan if he should break Elmo in half, and she said "Yes" then Brian asked Jackson, and Jackson got the saddest look on his face, almost started crying, and said, "No! Don't break Elmo! " Hmmm interesting huh... does it sound like a bible story? :) In the end Jackson got Elmo and Morgan found some new toy to play with. I thought it was funny seeing how different their personalities are, Jackson is quite the sensitive one, and Brian and I wonder if Morgan was just curious to see if Daddy would really break Elmo in half. we had a good laugh over it. :)

Snow Day with Daddy

We got a really nice snow storm Saturday morning. There was so much snow coming down, and Brian was out there as soon as he could be shoveling our driveway. I think that's his favorite thing to do. :) The kids wanted so badly to go out with him, so we told them after their naps they could. When they woke up we got them all dressed up to go play. I wasn't feeling very well, so I stayed in, but wow, did I miss out on fun. :) Brian built a big sledding hill for them, and then helped them build a snow man. I don't know if the kids were having more fun, or Brian. Personally I think Brian was. He kept asking me if I wanted to go sledding on his hill, but somehow, the thoughts of my 8 months pregnant body going down the hill didn't convince me. :) He & the kids had so much fun playing though, and came inside cold. Brian was sweet & gave them both a bath, & then fixed them their favorite dinner... Macaroni & Cheese. He is such a cute dad, and it was so nice being able to relax and enjoy the day being lazy, knowing that the kids were being taken care of by Daddy.

Brian said the kids enjoyed going down the hill together instead of alone. I'm glad their such great friends.

Brian even built steps for them to climb up. After using the sled for a while morgan & jackson decided it was more fun sliding on their bums. Brian was Morgan was a little dare devil, and watched some older girls in our neighborhood go down on their tummy's so she had to try it as well, and loved it.
