Easter

 
 
 
We had a very nice Easter. The kids woke up and came running into our room yelling, "He Came! He Came! The Easter Bunny really came!" They were SOOO excited! Jackson said, "And guess what! He jumped really high, and put an Easter Egg up on top of the window!" Of course Brian and I were excited to think that the Easter bunny had to "jump" to put the egg up on the window. :) We all went out while the kids looked at the fun things left for them. They had so much fun, and it was fun watching them.
Daddy then made a yummy breakfast we ate while watching General Conference& playing Bingo. After lunch, and naps, G & G Nuttall & Jeff & Brittany & kids came over for a delicious Easter dinner, and we watched the rest of conference, or tried too. I think the kids kind of had a sugar high. They were so excited for their cousin to come over that they took all of their Easter candy and spread it ALL OVER the floor downstairs so Jayden could go on a Easter hunt. At least they meant well. :) Brian went downstairs and then told me it looked as though a candy bomb had gone off. Hallie was very thankful to Morgan & Jackson for laying a nice trail of chocolate malt Robin eggs on each step for her to eat. She picked up them one by one & popped them in her mouth as she walked up the stairs. I'm glad that they had a fun time, but maybe next year the Easter Bunny should only bring a little bit of candy.
It was so nice listening to Conference, (well the parts that I did hear) :) I am so thankful for Jesus Christ, and the life that he lived while on this earth. Even though, I have not met him in this lifetime, I know he lives, and I will see him again, and I will know that He does indeed live & that He loves me.

This last picture of Jackson wasn't on Easter, but right after. Jackson had been downstairs coloring with markers & came up for Brian and I to see him. When Brian asked him why he had colored all over himself Jackson said, "But Dad! I wanted to be your Mascot!- I want you to play soccer & I will be your mascot!" :) Brian told him he was grounded from markers until he was 5 (of course while trying not to laugh) :)

Dying Eggs

 
 
 
 
The kids were so excited to dye Easter Eggs this year. We started just before Brian left to go to the Priesthood Session, so he was able to do a few. Morgan made her eggs look like sunsets, Jackson went for the more blue & green combo, and Hallie just dropped them in whichever color was in front of her as fast as she could. She would then drop them on the table so they would get the nice cracked look. :) It was VERY entertaining watching them.

Grandma LaVon Nuttall just turned 80 years old on April 1st. She is as beautiful as ever & has such a fun personality! We went over to their home in Provo for choclate cake & ice cream. Jackson gladly helped himself to 2 big slices of cake. :) It was fun spending time with family & good to catch up with everyone.

Humpty Dumpty

Every Spring, Morgan's school has all the kindergarten kids bring a hard boilded egg so the janitor can throw it off the roof of the school and try to break Humpty Dumpty. All of the kids try to come up with interesting ways to protect their egg. Morgan decided to put her egg in a diaper. :) We cut a toilet paper tube in half, put the egg inside, taped it, wrapped toliet paper around it, and then carefully placed it in the diaper. Mr. Mecham threw all the eggs off pretty fast, and when Morgan went to open up the diaper, the Humpty Dumpty had cracked. Hallie & Jackson loved watching all the eggs being thrown off the roof.

Sunday Entertainment

So, what do you like to do on your Sunday afternoon? We like to be entertained by the kids. :) Today Jackson was "so good in class" that his teacher (Nic) gave him "lots" of blue tootsie rolls which he kindly shared during lunch.
Well, have you heard of the marshmellow study? Today a member of the bishopric talked about it, so Brian and I decided to test our kids with it since we had marshmellows. Basically, the 4 year old has 15 minutes to not eat the marshmellow, and then he will get 2. (They found in the study, those who ate the marshmellow weren't very successful in life, and those who waited, were very successful) We gave each of the kids a marshmellow, and thankfully they will lead VERY productive lives, well, except Hallie, but then again, she is only 2, so we still have 2 more years to help her be successful- right? Morgan & Jackson held onto theirs for 15 minutes (just barely licking it) and Hallie popped it in her mouth as soon as she saw it. Finally, once they had their marshmellows I showed Jackson how to make eyes with his tootsie rolls & this was the end result. Very Funny!!!
We were laughing pretty hard at Jackson's funny faces with his new set of eyes. :)
We then went outside after lunch to have icecream cones. It was such a nice way to spend Sunday afternoon, and then Brian, Me, Hallie, & Landon all took a little nap while Morgan & Jackson watched a "Jesus Movie." Before Morgan & Jackson came inside, Jackson came running in with Morgan yelling behind him "Jackson's Bleeding!" Brian looked to see what the damage was, and somehow while Jackson was on the swing, he hit his head on the teeter-totter (don't ask me how, because I don't know) He came in with a litte cut, but Brian decided to make it as dramatic as he could... which resulted in this nice turban around his head. Brian was quietly laughing as he helped Jackson & Jackson thought it was great that Daddy was taking such great care of him. 3 hours later, and Jackson still has it wrapped around his head. :)
Hey Man... Waz Up! We then decided to invite the "gangsters" over for more entertainment. Sometimes I wonder where they get it from. It must be from Brian. ;)

St. Patricks Day

Today is the day for the wearin o' the green, today is the day when the little people sing. :) I'm not sure if the kids had fun dressing up in green, but I had fun putting them in green clothes. Jackson kept asking me days before when "Green Day" was. He was so excited to wear green! At one point during the day, when he had lots of energy, I told him to go and and look in the backyard and see if he could find a Leprechaun. He came back and said, "Mom! I just saw a Leprechaun in the backyard. It was in the grass, and then he went into the sandbox!" Mmm, now I really wonder what he saw. :)

This is just before Jackson did his "Leprechaun Dance" He ran around the room and jumped all while pretending to be a Leprechaun. You gotta love this kid!
