Fun Kids

Well, although I am anxiously awaiting my blog stockers to make themselves known to me (thank you to those of you who have let me know... we now consider you our best friends! :) ) I decided to put some more cute pics on here. This is Hallie's 3 month pictures. Isn't she a cutie!!! Her new thing is holding her hands together. She is so much fun, and I don't think there could be an easier baby. She only cries when she wants to eat, and if Morgan & Jackson are loving her a little too much. She is cooing and laughing now, and it is so fun... I'm afraid she will talk a lot, and be our social & happy little bug. She is so much fun, and is growing up too quickly.
My girls, today I noticed as I was watching Morgan's baby movie, that they have the same eyes, but different smiles. Morgan looks a lot like Brian, and Hallie looks a lot like me... kind of fun huh!
Here's Morgan's 4 year old pictures. She was so funny. When I got ready to take her pictures she said, "now where do you want me to sit Mom?" She started singing a song today to Hallie
Patty Cake, Patty Cake, Bakers Man, Bake me a cake as fast as you can, pat it and roll it, and mark it with a 'B' & put it in the oven for 6 minutes!"

This is by far the funniest picture ever, to me anyway, so Jackson was actually quite helpful with his pictures. I kind of let him do whatever he wanted, so he told me he wanted me to take one of him sleeping, why, I don't know, but I did. He curled up on the floor and put his hands together just like this, and then let me know that he was ready. Don't you love how he is concentrating on keeping his eyes closed. ;) He is so funny, and is always making us laugh.

Ode to Blog Checker-outers

Here is my ode to all of my blog stockers. I actually don't like the word "stockers," so we will change it to "Blog Checker-outers" also known as those who visit our blog. Enjoy! :)
Now I know it sounds crazy,
or so it may seem,
but I REALLY want to know
whose reading these things.

It started with one &
grew to a few
& before we knew it,
there were 1,000 of you!

Some are family &
some are friends
but others are strangers
with their own story to lend.

Some are from Utah,
Pennsylvania, or France,
and some are from
Australia & Texas
just taking a glance.

The truth is I tell you,
I'm curious too...
to know about life,
& a story from YOU!

Now don't feel embarrassed
or scared to admit...
I PROMISE I'll be HAPPY
& I won't throw a fit!!

So, I know this sounds crazy
or so it may seem,
but I REALLY want to know
whose reading these things!

Ha Ha Ha, okay, so I know this is extremly cheesy, but honestly, I really do want to know who is reading our blog. Mostly for my family. I really don't want to go private, but I have a map at the bottom of our blog that I check at least once a week, and there are people from other states and countries (like the United Kingdom, of which I don't know anyone there, in fact, I don't think I even know where that is. :) It is a state right? :) jk And, there are TONS of states that I don't know anyone in either. So, if you have not left me a comment on the last 2 posts, PLEASE let me know who you are. I'm excited to see who is reading our blog, and I'm excited to find out more about each of you. At this point, I think I will be going private in 1 week, so if you would like to be added on to my list of buddies, please leave a comment with your e-mail address ( I'll change it so it gets sent to my e-mail first so no one else will see your e-mail address) Anyway, I LOVE the blogging world... it's my escape everyday, to see how you all are doing. So, have a wonderful day & don't forget to comment! :)

Hallie's 3 months!

I was going to take 3 month old pictures today, but with the rain, I will do them later. Isn't she so sweet. I am so glad she is a part of our family. She is so calm, and rarely cries, even in the night when she wants to eat, she just kind of snorts, to let me know she is ready to eat. She is so much fun to be around, do you see that little teasing look in her eyes, oh no, another teaser.... ;) Hallie has been such a fun baby, and I love being around her. The other day Brian noticed that her feet were kind of white & we wondered if she wasn't getting enough circulation to her feet... the answer... just look at her rolls in the picture by her wrists... she is such a chunky baby, and I LOVE it. I LOVE her rolls, and how big she is. Go baby go! For some reason, she is growing up so much faster than Morgan and Jackson. I love her so much.

A look into the Past

A couple of weeks ago when I was at my parents house, I went through an old box of pictures from when I was younger. I have to say that these were 2 of my favorites. I think Hallie looks so much like me in this picture. I love it! There is also a picture of Brian on here too... what a cutie! So, who do you think our kids look like?
Yep, ya gotta love the cheesy smile. This is me and my sister Jen. My question though, is what on earth is going on with my bangs? I think they start in the middle of my head. Do you see that teasing smile... yep, that was my personality back then, but of course I NEVER tease now. Poor Jen, she really put up with a lot from me. For some reason she was always screaming or crying, I tried to explain to my dad that I didn't know what her problem was, and that "I" HADN'T done anything to bother her.. for some reason she just started crying... and now, I think I have a copy of myself... also known as Morgan. :) Morgan teases anyone, especially Jackson, just to get him to scream, and then she uses the same trick I used, "But, Mom, I didn't do anything!" Yep, I know that trick. Look at Jen's cute face, so sweet and innocent, and me ready to tease. :) It's a good thing that I grew up. ;)
What a handsome little kid! I love this picture! He kind of looks like a little Jackson only with brown hair. Doesn't he look so sweet! I think he was 2 1/2 in this picture.

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all of you women out there. I found these cute pictures of my mom and mother in law and decided to share them. I just tried to post this nice long post about our moms, but somehow, it wouldn't post, and deleted it instead... so hopefully I can remember what I wrote. :)
On May 31st, my mom became a mom for the first time to me. :) I was a such a cute and wonderful baby, that they decided to have 6 more hoping they would be just like me. :) ha ha ha I never realized how much my mom did for our family until now, as I do the same things for my family. I never realized how many meals she cooked, or the laundry she did, or the school projects, or our hair, or all the cleaning she did. I wish I could go back in time and say "thanks for doing my hair," thanks for coming to my school party" "thanks for driving me to work" "thanks for dinner... it's delicious!" and anything else that I took for granted. My mom amazes me. I wish I would have helped more around the house, I wish I would have offered to cook dinner, or help with the laundry, or clean my room without being asked for the 5th time. My dad used to say when we were younger "you'll never understand until you have kids of your own." I used to hate it when he said that, and would usually roll my eyes, but he was right, I am now beginning to understand how much she did for us. I'm starting to realize how much she sacrificed, especially her own dreams for ours. I am so grateful for my mom. She is "a Mother who knows" ... she taught us the gospel, she taught me how to keep a house clean, how to cook, how to take care of children, and sometimes when she may have felt that no one cared, I cared, and I followed her & learned so much from her. I am so grateful for my mom's example and testimony. She taught me the importance of paying tithing, of being honest, or daily scripture study (personally & as a family), she taught me so many things that I am able to apply in my life now. I am so grateful that I am still able to learn from her. I love her so much, and I'm so grateful she is my mom. She is my best friend. I love you so much!
My 2nd mom is Karen (Brian's mom). She too is "a mother who knows." During Brian's teenage years, he watched him mom go to church, and wanted to go because she was there. He followed her example. I watch all that Karen has gone through, especially as her kids were little and in the hospital for broken bones, or other things, and I look back on the courage and faith that she had to continue on. To me, Karen is one of the greatest examples of enduring to the end, even when times are tough. I am so grateful that almost 7 years ago she welcomed me into her home, and has loved me like a daughter ever since. I am so grateful for how she raised Brian. She did and AMAZING job, and I will always be grateful for her because of who Brian is today. I am so grateful to have her in my life. I love her so much!
Here we are together on Hallie's blessing day. I am so grateful that I am able to be a mom. I know it's a sensitive subject, especially for those who do not have children yet. But I hope you all know how important your role as a woman is. There have been many times when I have been able to help children (that weren't my own) and make a difference in their life. I am so grateful for my 3 beautiful children, and though they test me, and I am getting "minature melissa's & brians" they continually show me what this life is about... family & love. Today Jackson started singing, "lead me guide me, walk beside me, help me find the way, teach me all that I must do to live with him someday" I hope that I can teach my kids what I have learned from my mom & karen, to return to our Heavenly Father. I love you all, and wish you a wonderful mother's day!

New kind of Tag

So, I saw this on a friends blog, and decided to copy it. It is a tag about your husbands. I feel like I know a lot about all of you, but what about your sweethearts? So, here we go... here is a little bit about the man in my life....
What is his name? Brian H. Nuttall
How long have you been together? Since September 9, 2001
How did you meet? I was set up on a blind date in college, with my friend Paul's friend who had just returned home from his mission (2 weeks earlier) Brian had met these 2 guys at a singles ward earlier that day, and they were all gived tickets for the single adult fireside at the Conference Center in Salt Lake. Brian was told that Cory was being set up on a date with me, but that he and Paul could just hang out together. We all rode up together, and it really was love at first sight for both of us, so Paul was sweet and let Brian and I sit together at the Conference Center while he talked to Cory, and Brian and I just hit it off. And, the rest is history... ;)
How long did you date? 6 weeks and then he proposed, 3 months later & we were married... what can I say, when it's right, it's right!
Who eats more? Usually me, unless it's steak & shrimp or anything seafood, or Wendy's burgers, and then it's him. I have a special craving and tasting for food, I don't know why, I just LOVE food...mmmmm, okay sorry this isn't supposed to be about me. :)
Where do you like to eat together? We LOVE Cafe Rio salads, and our new favorite is Ruby Tuesday. Yummy!
Who said I love you first? In my mind I said it right when I met him, just kidding, he said those blissful magical words first... :) & of course I said them back.
Who does the laundry? 3 loads of kids clothes-me, whites-me, lights-me, (I'm kind of picky with my clothes) towels-him, his clothes-him, but I do have to say, he does ALL the yard work, unless I feel like mowing the lawn.
Who does the dishes? both, Brian is a HUGE help with the dishes
Who sleeps on the right? Wait, I have to think for a minute...me? I think, well it depends on how you're looking at the bed. If your standing in front of the bed and looking at the bed, then him, but if you're laying in the bed (which I don't know why you would be laying in the bed with us) then me. :)
Who pays the bills? both
Who cooks dinner? Usually me, but Brian makes an amazing breakfast.
Who is more stubborn? It depends on the situation, I think we're both about the same. Acutally probably me.
Who kissed who first? He kissed me first... my first kiss ever! My prince charming came and rescued me from the virgin lips club where I was currently serving as president. :)
Who proposed? Him, and he was so creative with it! I had no idea that he was going to propose when he did, the sad thing though, is we were on a hike, and I was not dressed cute at all! I was wearing an ugly t-shirt, "holy" jeans, & my hair was undone, & he STILL proposed! I guess the inside really counts the most. :)
Who has more siblings? me
Who wears the pants? me, unless we're going to church on Sunday. ;)
Where do you fit in birth order? We're both the oldest or eldest?
What's your favorite thing? Brian loves me for who I am, and always supports me, but never tries to change me.
One word to describe him? dreamy :) (I HOPE I'm the only one thinking that about him) ;)
So, I know challenge ALL of you, to write about your honey, or your sweet pie, or what ever you like to call him. I look forward to reading about it! ;)
