March 27, 2007

Well, we were finally able to have Morgan wear normal clothes, & have her wear her hair down. I can't believe how long her hair has gotten. For the past 6 weeks we have kept it in pony tails & braids so that it doesn't get too tangled up. I feel bad though, because a couple of times her hair was so tangled that I had to rake it out of her head. Poor little thing. But isn't she so cute! I love blue on her. She is so happy now that she can crawl & wiggle around.
Can you tell that the kids like having their pictures taken. This is Jackson saying "CHEESE" now I just need to work on calming the smile down some. :)
What a funny little kid.

This is Jackson's hat, but Morgan wanted to try it on. I think she looks like this pretty Tomboy ;)
I love this picture

.

So Guess who took this picture... Morgan. She had to take a couple of practice pictures because in most of them our heads were being cut off, but this one turned out pretty good. Morgan loves taking pictures, & I've taught her how to take a picture just by pushing the button. I love digital cameras, especially when I need to delete some. ;) I can't believe that she got one when both Jackson & I were smiling too. What a cute picture. I think it would be a little bit better if I was wearing makeup & had my hair done, but aaahhh who cares... what matters is this is how Morgan sees us, & we're happy.

2nd part of Addition

Here is Daddy's little Helper. Jackson was kind of scared of all of the noises, but he loves to help & watch Daddy.
Brian did everything with digging & pouring the footings. Doesn't that look like fun? :)

Jackson loves to watch from the back window. It's probably a good thing that we have it all block out, so that there is now way out for him to escape. If you look in the background you can see the walls of the foundation up. I will put new pics on of the foundation & window wells.

The Beginning of Our Addition

Well, at the beginning of March we decided to start the addition. Brian took some pictures of the back of the house, & then began ripping out the deck. We are hopefull to have it all completly finished by Jackson's birthday which is July 10th.
Brian loves opperating the Mini-X. I think that is what it is called, but I honestly have no idea. All I know is that is says "Bobcat" and is from ACE Rents. :) Can you tell he is having fun though?
Well, here is our big whole in our backyard. When it was finished, I felt like I was on top of the Grand Teton's looking over a cliff. ;)

Morgan's Broken Femur

Here are the pictures of Morgan & her broken femur. Thank you all so much for all of your love & prayers. We love all of you!
Morgan broke her right femur on Feb 13th. She fell off of a step in the back yard, & crack! Brian took her to the hospital at 7:00 p.m. and called me at about 10:00 p.m. to let me know that they needed to do surgery. I went to the hospital while Grandma Karen watched Jackson. Morgan had surgery at 11:15 and was done by 12:30 a.m. Luckily with technology now, they didn't need to cut into her at all, and were able to arrange the bones in place by looking at a x-ray machine during the surgery. They were also able to cast her while she was out too which was nice. We spent Valentines Day in the hospital as well as the 15th. Not exactly what we planned on doing for Valentines Day, but at least Morgan is okay, and is healing well.

As you can tell Morgan will be wearing a nice body cast for the next 6 weeks. Doesn't that look like fun? :) She is actually being extremely positive & patient through all of this. She is such a sweetheart, & we feel terrible this happened, but I think the Lord gives us these challenges to grow closer and to strengthen us.

Can you tell Morgan has Daddy wrapped around her finger :) She has been so sweet & has done really well at letting Brian and I take care of her. Sometimes she is a little bossy, but I'm sure it is hard for her not being able to do anything herself. She is still so sweet & patient.

Growing Up

What a little stud!!! I wanted to practice with this background on the kids. Let's just say it wasn't a very good picture day, but I still managed to get some cute pictures.
Do you like the big bruise on the side of his head? He fell down by the wall and got a huge goose-egg luckily it has gone down some. ;) As of today though, he has a new bump in the middle of his forehead because he fell of the chair while the babysitter was here. The poor kid is running into everything because he is so fast.
(2/8/07)

Isn't she a cute little girl!!! The only way I got her to pose for me though was for her to hide candy under her hands so none of you could see them, but hey, anything that works right???!!!
OH, yes, and if you look closley, you can see a piece of candy on the right side of her mouth, and if the picture was in color you would see the other blue piece of candy on her other tooth. Thank goodness for black & white. ;)
